Meaningful conversations about life, death, and what matters most.
A Death Café is a gathering of people who come together to have meaningful conversations about death, dying, and how to live well. We sit in a circle, over tea and light refreshments, and share our thoughts, experiences, and questions about life's biggest topics.
Death Cafés aren't about grief counseling or crisis intervention. They're about normalizing conversations that our culture often avoids, creating space for the kinds of profound questions that matter: What makes a life meaningful? How do we want to be remembered? What brings us comfort as we face our own mortality?
These gatherings are welcoming to everyone—regardless of age, background, belief, or experience. Whether you're facing end-of-life decisions, processing loss, or simply curious about these conversations, you belong here.
Each gathering typically lasts 90 minutes—enough time to settle in, share, and reflect without feeling rushed.
Comfortable seating arranged in a circle, tea and light refreshments, and a peaceful, welcoming space designed for meaningful conversation.
Mary will share opening reflections, then invite the circle to share thoughts, questions, and stories. Participation is always optional—you can simply listen if you prefer.
This is a judgment-free zone where all perspectives are honored. What's shared in the café stays in the café—confidentiality is sacred.
